As one of the 4 founding members, Dr Paul Kuo has been part of Adelaide Gastrointestinal Specialists since 2012. Dr Kuo is also a consultant gastroenterologist at The Royal Adelaide Hospital, where he provides oesophageal motility, reflux testing and other diagnostic services. His other positions include being a member of the Gastroenterological Society of Australia and a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.
Dr Kuo received his PhD and medical degrees at the University of Adelaide. During this period, he wrote his PhD thesis on the subject of gastrointestinal motility and intestinal nutrient absorption. Since his time training at The Royal Adelaide Hospital, he has sought a fellowship in upper GI motility training at The Royal London Hospital in London, UK.
Dr Kuo has also been the first author on twelve papers, published in international medical journals, discussing the matter of GI motility and reflux. These consist of both innovative, original studies and the reviewing of other articles and items.
