Dr Biju George graduated from the Christian Medical College at Vellow, India, which specialises in new medical and endoscopic technologies. Since 1999, he has been actively involved with gastroenterology, including becoming the faculty in charge of Endoscopy at the Christian Medical College. During this period, Dr George acquired vast knowledge and experience in managing various gastrointestinal diseases, such as irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease and numerous liver conditions, including hepato-billary and hepatitis disorders.

After this, Dr George went on to take up further studying and training. He obtained a Doctor of Medicine degree in both Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine. He became Fellow in Gastroenterology at the Royal Adelaide Hospital in 2006 and Senior Consultant Gastroenterologist at the Lyell McEwin Hospital in 2008. Dr George is also a Fellow of the Australasian College of Physicians and a member of the Gastroenterological Society of Australia. Dr George actively partakes in student teaching, endoscopic research and workshops.
