Dr Yasmina Tashkent obtained fellowship of The Royal Australasian College of Physicians, Gastroenterology and Hepatology, in 2022. Dr Tashkent studied medicine at Flinders University and completed her Advanced Gastroenterology training in South Australia, training at Flinders Medical Centre, The Queen Elizabeth Hospital and The Lyell McEwin Hospital. Dr Tashkent has Conjoint Committee Recognition of Training in Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (gastroscopy and colonoscopy). 

Dr Tashkent works at Flinders Medical Centre in the Gastroenterology and Hepatology Department. Dr Tashkent is a published author in international peer-reviewed journals and is a PhD candidate at Flinders University investigating the role of the gut microbiome and diet in steatotic liver disease.
