Dr Paul Kuo has been a founding member of Adelaide Gastrointestinal Specialists (AGIS) since its inception, and also works as a Consultant Gastroenterologist at The Royal Adelaide Hospital since 2012, providing a diverse range of diagnostic and therapeutic services with a particular focus in Oesophageal Function Testing. He is a member of the Gastroenterology Society of Australia (GESA) and a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP).

Dr Paul Kuo has received his medical and PhD degrees at The University of Adelaide, with his PhD thesis on the topic of gastroduodenal motility and postprandial nutrient absorption. He has also completed his Fellowship training at Royal London Hospital in London, United Kingdom, further specialising in oesophageal motility and reflux testing.

He has published multiple scientific papers in peer-reviewed, internationally respected medical journals on both innovative original studies and invited review articles, as well as book chapters, and is a first author on 14 publications. He continues to enjoy conducting further medical research and mentoring of junior doctors.
