Dr Damian Harding is an experienced specialist Gastroenterologist who studied medicine at King’s College School of Medicine London and undertook post-graduate medical training in large teaching hospitals in Nottingham England and Perth Western Australia. Damian has been awarded membership of the Royal College of Physicians London, and fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.


Damian completed a clinical fellowship at the highly regarded Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Birmingham and was a research fellow at the University of Birmingham. He completed further research leading to MSc with the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, and current research in the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, University of Adelaide.


Damian has a passion for improving patient outcomes and healthcare. He has been involved in international and local initiatives and clinical trials to help patients access latest treatments and high-quality care. As well as teaching junior medical staff and trainees in Gastroenterology in South Australia, Damian also assists with medical training and teaching in Timor Leste with the charitable foundation ANZGITA.


Damian is a senior consultant Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist at the Lyell McEwin Hospital and a senior clinical lecturer at University of Adelaide. He has experience in all areas of gastroenterology with interests in bowel cancer prevention, clinical nutrition, liver disease and gastrointestinal infections.
